a day off!

Shifts at the hospital are long and strenuous. I can't remember the last time I ate or slept! Thank goodness I have the next couple of days "off," so to speak. This pager will be the death of me!

Grantaire, I'd like to speak with you more if you don't mind about well, you know. The dreams and such. They're getting more and more real and it's getting harder for me to distinguish them. Are you quite sure I'm not going insane? The CT scan showed nothing out of the ordinary but I'm also terrified of seeing the hospital's psychiatrist about it, too. What if they make me take sabbatical! I'm only a month into the internship! Yes, the job is stressful but I don't want the other doctors to think I'm unfit for it.

I suppose I should try to catch up on lost sleep. Maybe I'll feel better then.

They're dreams, petit. Terrible dreams, but don't let them hurt you now. I know that some of the others feel differently and wish to explore them, but I feel it better to let them wash over you and away.

I recommend getting some sleep. Try not to worry so much about the dreams -- if they're memories, they'll come when they come.
