I believe I am coming down with the flu. The hospital requires the staff to take the flu shot, which I would have done anyway, but I have heard many cases where people get the flu anyway! I talked to a patient earlier this morning about never having the flu except the one time she got the shot. I hope that doesn't happen to me!

It's just coughs and a sore throat for now, but please, I beg of you my friends, if you haven't gotten the flu shot yet, get it!! There are many, many places that are still doing the immunizations and for free! Please take care of yourselves!

Unless you're the type who gets the flu after getting the shot.

Then drink lots and lots of orange juice this holiday season! And vitamins!

Shifts at the hospital are long and strenuous. I can't remember the last time I ate or slept! Thank goodness I have the next couple of days "off," so to speak. This pager will be the death of me!

Grantaire, I'd like to speak with you more if you don't mind about well, you know. The dreams and such. They're getting more and more real and it's getting harder for me to distinguish them. Are you quite sure I'm not going insane? The CT scan showed nothing out of the ordinary but I'm also terrified of seeing the hospital's psychiatrist about it, too. What if they make me take sabbatical! I'm only a month into the internship! Yes, the job is stressful but I don't want the other doctors to think I'm unfit for it.

I suppose I should try to catch up on lost sleep. Maybe I'll feel better then.
